KERALA TRAVELOGUE : God’s own country

Hello guys, welcome to fashion fairies ! And a very happy new year to all the lovely readers once again 😘😍 !I’m so excited about this post! Because it’s the first post of the year and we are here with something new🙌😍

If you are a travel enthusiast then I’m super sure you’ll love this one!So come along I’m gonna take you on a road trip to Kerala😎

Kerala is an enchanting Kaleidoscope full of breathtaking surprises. This fabled land is believed to have legendary origins.Kerala, the land of lagoons and beaches invites you to discover it’s beauty.

As it was last week of 2k16 and we badly wanted a vacation we planned upto Andaman but things went wrong and at last-minute we ended up in Kerala !

From my city that is Mysore, known as the “Heritage city ” it took about 3 hours to reach Kerala but then the journey of 150km was something more amazing!

Day:1

We left Mysore around 7 in the morning and had a short break at gundalpet and entered the Bandipur tiger reserve!!! The cool breeze and trees along both sides of road welcomed us 😍😍😍😍and it’s one of my favourite road ! Sitting next to window and look at the nature’s beauty my heart was filled with joy but my eyes were  still searching for animals ..As soon as entered the forest area  I was too surprised to see an elephant with its baby  and I guess it was an wild elephant beacuse it was not tied unlike the other elephants there

The mother elephant was having some grass and the she was feeding her little one ! I captured it from my car , every time I enter Bandipur I would expect to see the lovely deers and the most beautiful peacocks but I was amazed to see those elephants.and we moved on towards sulthan bathery crossing karantaka border we entered Kerala State the tall coconut trees along with luscious green plantations along the wayside made me realise that we reached wayanadu  😍

Wayanadu district nestled amidst the majestic mountains of western ghats is noted for its pristine beauty.it was around 12 by that time. And without wasting much time rushed to BANNASURA SAGAR dam

BANNASURA SAGAR Dam is the largest earth dam in India , the islands at the reservoir in the backdrop of BANNASURA hills provide a spectacular scenic view,as it was holiday the dam appeared to a  bit crowded at entrance but as we moved in large mountains covered by the fresh lovely green blankets and slapshling blue shining due to the sun caught my heart
And the best part was the boating 😍😍  and yes those wide old strong trees which were tied !swinging on them was like flying

Left the dam by the evening and visited  the pookot lake ! POOKOT lake is a fresh water lake where in boating facility is available ! Lake is surrounded by a wide range of ferns and trees of different species and we spent a while in lake and headed towards the peak point !

It was the exact time for sunset the blue skies had turned orange and sun was red watching the sunset in between the  hills was indeed a visual treat. The cure in the “w” looked like this from the peak point !

We stayed in a home stay and was pretty much excited about the next day morning !

Day:2

It was 8 a.m when we left from boarding place !Headed to the “CHEMBRA PEAK” this is the highest peak in the district and a “trekker’s paradise”. Breathtaking scenic beauty  and Wonderland at the top of the peak there is lake which is in heart shape💓 which was magnificent! After the peak we moved to the” Sujipara waterfalls” !

Who doesn’t love waterfalls especially in a hot sunny afternoon! Sujipara falls is never failed to attract the visitors site with its dense shady cool ambience along with a gushing sounds of water it was such a spectacular fall couldn’t stop jumping into water

Day:3

Ooooooooooty

Going to Ooty we unplanned but yet the lovely part of the journey ! The way from wayanad to Ooty was such mind-blowing one , really loved it ! Misty morning rising shiney sun and Tea and coffee plantations all the way I was literally on could nine!

As we came near Ooty the tall Nilgiri tree through which sunshines entered caught my site

Ooty botanical garden :is one of the oldest and famous botanical garden in India which is situated in Tamil nadu. We left Ooty after brunch and shopping some stuffs like homemade chocolates 💗💖

From Ooty we headed towards Mysore which had 36 hairpin curves and stepcultivation was ultimately fantastic and again we reached madumali forest in the evening and was amazed seeing so many animals !! And as it turned dark ,  we were home !

That is guys ! Thankyou for reading ! Happy weekend !For more about the travelogue follow us on instagram
